Interview with Mark of SF Metroblogging

San Francisco based Metroblogger Mark Pritchard was in Bangalore last week. Over emails, we agreed to meet up on Saturday at the Leela Hotel and check out the Photography festival which Deepa has written about. Earlier in the week, I had planned to meet him over dinner with other MB’rs which, at the last moment, I had to skip due to work related issues. In return, I offered to treat him to a traditional South Indian breakfast which he readily accepted. So, on Saturday, over idly, vada, kesari baath, masala dosa washed down with superb filter coffee, I asked him if he would mind a mini sort of interview. Needless to say, he agreed to this as well. Here he is, famished like I was and all set to do justice to the glorious food.

Learning to Live, Living to Learn…

Sometimes when I capture few pictures while on the move, these frames then start telling me stories. Stories about realities of life, opportunities and struggle…

A unique window of my third eye, the digi-cam, with which I could see the world at my leisure and try understand looking at the situations with my mind opening up few subtle paradigms.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s er, MTR’s

A little leg-pulling at Rajesh for a treat on the occasion of him becoming (& staying in top bloggers on MB) set the stage for an impromptu breakfast meet at MTR. The sport that he is, he readily agreed and stood by his word!

So Saturday morning saw two different sets of people agree to meet. The first lot comprising Anita, Charles, his partner Debbie & Deepa Mohan did a early morning walk bit at Lalbagh. Me, Rajesh, Rajesh’s better half Preethi reached MTR directly. Later, around 7.45 ish we converged at MTR.

Metblog posts on MID DAY!!

After few dents earlier for the use of references and photo’s by MID DAY Bangalore giving the credits and confirmations towards the metblogs content. It is actually seen MID DAY getting along printing posts from metblogs and hurriedly creating an aligned news out of it! as I never asked where have all the trees gone?

Bangalore Beat@ MID DAY today….

Privilege for the Bangalore Metblogs, especially to Ravi Kumar on todays MID DAY covering his post “Bangalore Beat” and photos of the recent riots ….

image quality avarage as taken from the mobile

The efforts put forward by Ravi has been elevated and covered with his due credit coming from him.

Great going Ravi…you have made Bangalore Metblogs proud!

Ironically on the same page they also do have carried two news items one having a coincidental ditto word wrap from SHADOW’s Marathalli update and another on the ‘Exhibition of folk art at CKP” having a ditto photo from the Dastakari Haat Samiti postbut without due credits…good going MIDDAY,keep watching the metblogs!!

The MetroBlogging Milestone!

Perhaps for few it does not matter, but it surely does for me, the rank and grades are sold to us as heavily since our childhood that for each and every aspect of our lives we are tied up with comparisons and competitions…

Here I am, Metroblogging since last 30 days (actually since 14th Dec by my first post Clean Bangalore ) and suddenly I find this Most Active Blogger page and thought let me try at least to be there in first ten…finally with ‘motivation’ from my other fellow bloggers and readers it is done…the #1.

P.s. I am off to Bandipur for a Weekend drive…
