Signs of our times
Saw a very unusual sign the other day, in Kodihalli – off the old airport road. Art gallery? Take-away? Restaurant?
Your guess is as good as mine.
Didn’t have the time to explore this interesting “business combo,” but will do so one of these days and add a post script.
It’s actually a pretty old place. You get home-made north indian food – thali of the day as well as individual sabji’s.
It is actually located in a regular house and the seating area is on the ground floor and the veranda outside. It is here that there are paintings on display. Each of these paintings has a small description as well. Nothing very high-brow. I am not sure how often the paintings change or if they do at all! If you have ever been to a house in North India, that is the kind of atmosphere you can experience here.
Taste of the food is not phenomenal but it’s okay for a lazy Sunday afternoon lunch.
Hey, I’m very intrigued too! I did read “Sidhusmart”‘s feedback, but if you do go..let us know your experience!
It’s a small, homely place which serves amazing north indian food (thali, parathas, roti, subzi etc) at a very subsidised rate. Totally worth it!!
They also have a chaat stall now which is again extremly good and tasty! There are a lot of paintings on display in the restaurant seating area which is the art gallery. The seating area is quite small with just around 8-10 tables…
