Lovely photograph Rajesh, and I like the way you have hidden the little boy’s face, too, preserving his privacy.

Great photo, rajesh. It’s heartbreaking to see these little ones struggling on our streets & junctions, dodging traffic, inhaling the poisonous exhaust fumes, just to eke out a meagre living. India is poised to be a superpower….yet this is what most children and their impoverished parents have to endure to stay alive. After all the years of boasting about our democratic system, successive governments have been absolutely ineffectual in alleviating poverty our setting up even rudimentary social security and child welfare systems.
