Forward March
Okay. We said we’d be there and well, we stuck to our word. Yours truly and Rajesh were witness to the first march of its kind organised by Leadcap folks and ordinary, everyday citizens. Well, what can we say except that we feel its the start of a movement that we hope will stir everyone who loves Bengaluru to come out and do their bit.
Here’s the story covered by the TOI and Deccan Herald.
Here are some pics from the event. You can also click on this link to Rajesh’s post on the same and his Flickr site.
Everything, just about everything in my calendar for this month was slated for this weekend. Sigh! Such initiatives deserve all the news, headlines, and blogs they deserve. Amidst all the people who keep cribbing about how good this city was, these people who work to bring back such good times and maybe better them, are our real heroes. Unfortunately, some dirty politician trying to create havoc will still hog the headline.
I agree, Such initiatives deserve all the news, headlines, and blogs they deserve. Thanks Ravi for tracking this down and the well written subsequent posts..
Thanks Ravi and Rajesh for participating and for this post.
