City on fire…
No, not that ugly fire but the pretty one, the forest fire trees have started blooming…
In few weeks most of the city will be painted red along a red carpet of flowers that fell under the tree… a very pleasant sight Indeed!!

That is the Spathodia, also called the African Tulip… it was brought here from Africa by the emissaries of Hyder and Tipu. It was a treat seeing it in Tanzania…I asked my guide it was called just “Tulip”!No, it was the African Tulip there, too..It’s such a beautiful flower!
Such a beautiful spectacle of Tulips in full bloom. Bangaloreans are lucky to have such lush greenery, verdant green carpets and seasonals and perennials, ornamental plants at many public places. Though I stayed for a brief period, I cherish all this nature in its pristine beauty, the cool climate and the evening drizzles and the clean rain-soaked Vidhan Soudha and other roads. It is for the native Bangaloreans to keep this wonderful green heritage. Belgaum too presents a similar greeneery, particularly near the Cantonment and Sambra Aiforce Station areas.
