Morning at Lalbagh

Metroblogs deals with a lot of current issues, and the problems we face in this city every day…so I thought I would strike a note of calm with a mention of Lalbagh . It is a great place to go to…at any time, but especially in the morning, when a calm environment and the sight of the majestic trees, a variety of birds, and beautiful flowers sets one’s mood of serenity for the entire day.

Here’s a picture of lilies in the Lalbagh lake, with the leaves glinting in the morning sunlight, and the flowers glowing translucently…

If only our authorities would stop thinking of land as only a place for people to build housing on, and decided to lay out more parks and public spaces like this…Bangalore would once again become, truly, a garden city.

hmm.. unfortunately even where they build parks these days, they spend all the effort on making a lawn and forget about the trees! There are many park areas created in last 2-3 years in South Bangalore and most of them have large lawn areas and hardly any trees planted.
