Airport flooded….
No not by water, but the passengers, as i am about to board my flight here i could see how uneasy it is becoming to travel out of city ahead of a long weekend.
It took me 15 minutes to enter the airport, 5 minutes to checking to my airline counter and has taken 45 minutes to do a security check. Experienced many airlines ground staff pushing there passengers ( jet airways) ahead of the queue ‘officially lifing the airport authorities of india’ barricades and fighting with other airline passengers who object. As usual airport authority of india does not bother to assist of manage this and taking things fro granted. The security check is becoming mere formality as the load becoming impractical to attend. the lines seems to be growing as this is the peak time ….the waiting launge is overcrowded … I could see a long line for boarding near the gates as many airlines share a same gates at the almost same time….
On being an ‘informed’ passenger now, I will think twice before getting on to air travel out of Bangalore on an evening just before a long weekend….
” And judging by the state of the seats in the international departures lounge, I wonder whether the stray dogs that are omnipresent on the apron area are allowed to use the seats during quite periods – it is simply unimaginable that humans could soil cushions to that extent – and even more so that no one seems to realize they need cleaning.”

Ajith, I can’t seem to stop laughing about that!
But seriously, when you consider that people in those departure lounges are usually spilling food, beverages and just about anything else on those seats, it becomes easier to see how that happens.
Not calling in a cleaner occaisionally is pretty darn shabby, though.
Just to be safe and hygenic, you might try using a copy of the International Herald Tribune. Much better to sit on than to read. :)
