A helicopter carrying Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today developed a technical snag mid-air and had to return to Bangalore for safe landing, official sources said.

The above development would surely appear propitious to the CM, methinks. If nothing at all, I hope our state’s CEO is astute enough to see this development as a close parallel to government announcements about infrastructure projects ‘taking off’, only for the harassed public being unable to see progress on the ‘ground’.

Anyway, knowing the CM, it should come as no surprise to hear about astrologers being consulted, special days chosen and homa / havans being conducted before he boards a chopper next time.

Or, perhaps, just perhaps, he might ‘jet’tison all thoughts of flying in one!
