Taste of Rajasthan
A relatively new place called Umerkot has opened up on 80 feet road in Koramangala. If you go from the Raheja Residency side, the restaurant is after you cross Fab Mall to your right.
For those of you looking for options to eat in and around Koramangala, this place is worth trying out. It’s got an outside and inside seating area and a pleasant ambience. The waiters are extremely attentive. Also, when they bring the food, they don’t place it on the table, but on a separate folding movable smaller side table, which I thought was a nice idea. That doesn’t crowd up the table you’re eating on.
We tried some chicken kababs, which were delicious. And for the main meal we had 2 mutton dishes and dal with parathas, roomali and tandoori rotis. The mutton was really nice (not hard and chewy as it tends to be sometimes) and the dal too was rather tasty.
Worth a visit! If anyone else has visited do leave your comments…
Yup! Been there, many times over and even had them cater an event at home. Their food is truly outstanding. It ought to be, it’s run by the ex-chef from Jamavar and the F&B Manager from the Leela. And it’s most reasonably priced.
Oh, and I meant to add, it’s not really Rajasthani is it? More NWFP…
