Interview with Mr. V Madhu, MD, Bangalore Metro

After many unsuccessful attempts to upload the file, success finally.

Here’s the interview. Listen up. Feedback – critical or otherwise – is welcome

Here’s a link to the BMRC site. A complete background of the project here. Further, a link that shows how the mono will supplement the metro.
Cheers,

:)

    ravi,
    great initiative. thanks a lot.

it appears the vision seems frozen at 33kms.
(he kept talking about 15% transport load, but did not mention if this a dynamic 15% or static one based on some ancient statistic ;) )

the metro does not address growing and most vocal sections of south east bangalore(JP nagar, Koramangla, Hosur Rd), far east(whitefield), and north (devanahalli)… so one gets a feeling that it is too little.

any suddi about any plans for extensions?

also, the hyd metro plans are longer & cheaper.
(about the same cost they are talking of about 60kms). wonder why.

    thanks again

when was the interview taken? i see the website is updated :) was’nt there last week.

    in general,
    the website is poorly designed.
    ‘stakeholder’ relevant information is lacking.
even the alignment map is of poor quality.
