New Khata scheme from BMP

This should come as a massive relief for the people who wait in endless queues for countless signatures shelling out unknown amounts of bribe! The new Khata scheme, called as the Swarna Khata (what is so golden about it? anyways…), aims to give the khata certificates within 4-5 weeks of application. There is also a proposal to introduce a tatkal khata scheme whereby citizens can pay more and get the processing done faster. With this scheme, BMP and Citizens are on a win-win. While BMP gets to collect more revenue, Citizens are saved of the hassle of running from pillar to post and tackling the unknown. A pic from TOI is attached below.

Some respite now…

What other idea do you think BMP should implement so that the lives of Bangaloreans become easier? Please enter your suggestions as comments to this post.

The first thing they should do is catch all the stray dogs on the streets and put them to sleep. I don’t even walk out of the house after 9:00 pm for the fear of dogs. How can you have a normal life in the city forget about night life under such circumstates. People in cars are spared but regular middle classes have to put up with crazy dogs on the streets.
