A play – nInAnAdre nAnInEnA – ನೀನಾನಾದ್ರೆ ನಾನೀನೇನಾ
This play with a tongue twister name is the Kannada adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Comedy of Errors”. What seems initially like a slow and boring play builds up on you after the first 15 minutes. As the confusion in the audience’s mind disappears, the hilarious confusions on the stage sets the hall with uninterrupted laughter. It’s an involving comedy that can keep you in splits even after you come out of the hall. The characters do justice to their roles with the veteran comedian Sihi Kahi Chandru and Srinivasa Prabhu playing the roles of twins. And Papa Pandu on small screen, Jehanghir takes the role of a don in the story who gets stuck in the muddle of twins at some point. He remains funny as ever in the play. Surendranath has done a great job in creating the adaptation, and the story is set in some corner of Bangalore City. A must see play, it is staged in Rangashankara on 23rd and 24th of this month.
I watched it last time. Its full time pass (FTP). Sihi Kahi Chandru is too good in timing.
