Safety drive?

Guess Bangalore Police are trying their level best to make the auto rickshaw journeys safer. I found the photo and details of the driver on almost
every single auto rickshaw. Good :-)

Yes this a good step to record auto drivers records.
But then someone pls teach these ppl some traffic rules too..

    Hmm… Is this not forgeable?

    Opinion of ex-MI5 chief:

“ID cards may be helpful in all kinds of things but I don’t think they are necessarily going to make us any safer.”

Don’t you think anything can be forged for that matter?

Atleast a start with something. Something better than nothing. What do these IDs display? It is ages since I have stepped into these rickshaws.

It seems like a good move, but how much effective it would be only time will tell.

The details ( & the photo included ) on the id card is definitely more useful than the details that are painted cursorily on the autos here in Chennai. Secondly, autos are rented by the drivers from the owners on a daily rate ( usually Rs 100/- plus) and so, the id cards (with photo) can be a real boon to consumers should any complaint needs to be lodged! Be a little generous minded, guys, and lets give the Bangalore cops some kudos for this! :)

    Mehak,
Traffic rules need to be taught to everyone. Not just the rick drivers!

    Kanth,
I really hope they dont retort to such tactics!

    Thejesh,
    Oh yes!

    RC,
It displays the complete details of the auto driver. Like his registration no, address etc

    Alok,
Yes. A good move to start with

    Ravi,
    Bulls eye!
