If you are a patron of Heavy metal music and booze, then styx is the place to be.

Styx is one among the top 10 pubs in india. [indiatimes said that]. i too agree with this.

Location: Styx is the MG road just before the turn to Brigade road.

Booze: anyting and everthing is served there.

The music is truly out of the world. They play everthing, right from Iron Maiden to metallica to GnR to System of a down to Pantera to Ozzy to Floyd to lot many. They have collection of rare music videos, i have even seen a video of Tool [which is very hard to come by.]

The booze is also pretty good but sometimes the time taken to serve the customer is more[on weekends].

Cover: Weekdays ..none
Weekends… 200

My first post.

I don’t know which category to place this blog post under.

Is it Entertainment or is in Food and Drink or is it in Culture?

Well, I think this is something which is there in the blood of each and every Bangalorean [at least the new gen ones..]

and that’s.. .PUBS…

Ohh yea… PUBS and Bangalore are synonyms [no one can question that!]

It’s like pubbing is in our blood. I know there are people who would like to differ on it. But then their views don’t matter.

I would like to talk about a few pubs this week.

Hmmm… so where do I start?

Okies, the best pub to start with is Pecos.

Where is Pecos?

If anyone asks that, it’s nothing short of sacrilege.

Still, for people who don’t know. It’s the road parallel to Church Street. While coming down Brigade road towards Residency Road, take the second right. The third building on right is Pecos.

What do you get in Pecos?

GOOOOOOOOOOOOD music and rocking beer. Also, I think this is the only place in Bangalore where you will get a “Thali” for lunch and dinner.

They are very specific about the kinda music they play.
Pecos have a great collection of Blues, Jass, Classic rock and roll and Soul.

That’s about it.
