Glass is an amazing material.i love it.
The architect has used it in a disastrous way, not even taking note of the summer sun in Bangalore. Bad design.good material.

Glass can be recycled 100%. It can be engineered with tiny photo voltaic cells to generate solar energy. It can be tinted to reduce uv rays... ( i could go on for ages).

We follow 'westerners' because they put in lots of money and time into research of material technology, which we conveniently take from them.

Solution: in this case tinting the windows would be an efficient.

Well Said Deponti, we wear blazers in hot country, we use glass when global warming is in rise - we blindfoldedly follow the westeners who do it for their needs & some time for the heck of doing it and later telling the whole world to abide by rules !!
