The Election Campaign Begins…

At this house…..

kumaraswamy house 060408

the election campaign for the Janata Dal is beginning, with this vehicle. Here’s the front view:

The back view:

and the side view:

the name says, “jAthyAtheetha janatha dal” (secular janata dal; literally translated, “beyond caste”).

Then comes the banner that asks if you are on the electoral rolls, and if not, tells you what to do:

The elections, they are a-coming, and we’re getting ready, too……

    For all the mindless bureaucracy in Indian government, that last photo shows something admirable. In London we are gearing up for mayoral elections on May 1. If you aren’t on the roll by April 17, you don’t get to vote, which is totally unfair. At least in Bangalore you can fill out Form-6 and get in.

    BTW: I’m not a fan of the name Bangaluru but have you guys considered renaming the blog to that?

    @Rashmi!

    You are preaching to the converted…I contribute regularly to Citizen Matters! I post the more serious, issue-based stuff there and the more impromptu ones here (er, where I won’t get paid! ;D )

    But thank you for the plug!

    Interesting to note that the Son of the Soil is using a Maharashtra Registered Vehicle :)
