Eating out, try Bobby-Da-Dhaba@Ulsoor

– Pure Punjabi taste in an atmosphere so down to earth!

No nonsense but good food at an affordable price. It took me sometime to absorb the shock looking at the place and the stunning crowd that flocks it…all those reactions took off as soon as tastebuds took over..

The Menu

Ok, where? Bobby da dhaba shares a common wall with Ulsoor gurudwara , the little shack with just five to six table has been keeping people busy licking fingers and fulfilling ‘paratha’ desires… !

The varieties of paratha’s this kitchen has been serving with pile of butter is worth mention, served with large bowl of ‘pickle’ and green chilies the place takes you far away from southern India to a roadside ‘dhaba’ in north…

buttermilk glass

Eat with leisure, keep ordering garma-garam paratha’s, dahi and veggies this pure veg wonder fills you with satisfaction if you agree not to crib about the cleanliness and décor…

paratha platter

The place

Try buttermilk in a two, liter stainless steel glass that feels like a family dose catered for an individual. After the food don’t forget to rinse your taste buds with simple yet delicious ‘KHEER’ made up of milk and rice with few dry fruits…

the place

Weekday evening’s are not that crowded and wait time could be as little as 10 -15 minutes, ( we try and get there at 7.30pm sharp, and opt to wait at the table sipping buttermilk..) over week ends don’t dare reaching after 8pm, the wait time is too long ..say about 30-45 minutes on the road beside….bit hardship to stand hungry in the aroma of paratha’s but believe me that wait is worth it when you reach out for the butter off that paratha!!!!

I unfortunately missed out in this place because I made a visit during Guru Nanak Jayanthi and there was an hour’s waiting list. Now that you mention it, will be back again, and definitely not on a weekend.

Lunch time and the pics are getting me all worked up!
