Sidewalk docs!

These folks never cease to amaze me. They set up shop on a sidewalk. They advertise remedies for almost every ailment on planet Earth, including ones that don’t exist, perhaps :)

I often wonder who visits these places. What kind of people walk in wanting a remedy for their illness?

Are these structures (they are usually set up with tarpaulin) legal? Don’t cops have any say in these shops set up overnight? How are they allowed to block the footpaths (especially in Bangalore where footpath space is a luxury?

    Meddam,
Why you be questioning these fine footpath doctors? They have cure for such diseases like “diabities” , “sexual tridnes” and “gastric troble” as shown on their menu. Western Drs don’t even know these diseases. So please don’t be hating these experts!! And also please don’t be asking them for their medical degrees.

It’s funny how you could say: “especially in Bangalore where footpath space is a necessity”, and mean exactly the same thing!, even though necessity and luxury are opposites.
