The-Ware, A-Ware…

How better to relate with IT folks than adding some ‘ware’ to the products, this creative billboard on the way towards IT parks speaks for itself…in trying to connect with the largest health conscious consumer base around!!

The copywriter has done a smart job. Catchy caption. But how much safe is the unipole on which the two ads are precariously perched. Attractive hoardings no dobut enliven and pep up the city skyline.

There were many instances of unipoles erected on shopping malls, buildings and on road margins crashing down under heavy gales and causing deaths and injuries to passersby.

At least half a dozen people died, many others injured and vehicles parked on roadside and parking bays damaged in signboard crashes in Hyderabad city alone this year.

Following a huge public outcry on unsafe uniploes and hoardings on road margins, buildings, malls etc the civic body stirred and stipulated height and placement rules for billboards.

While beautiful hoardings enliven the city skyline, their indiscriminate erections at anywhere and everywhere in city limits not only divert attention of vehicle drivers, cause accidents besides blocking vision at vantage points. Disfigured, faded posts and fused out glowsign boards dotting on main roads in cities present an ugly spectacle.

A look at the city transport buses that are splashed with multicolour ads and some trains carrying ads even inside compartments give an idea of how ugly things can turn, if there are no proper rules and norms.
