A different school of thought
The TOI recently had a report ‘ Drivers to attend ‘finishing school’ that began:
If you’re weary of rude autorickshaw drivers, don’t despair. Easy Auto scheme will have only polite drivers.
Here’s a pic:
‘Easy Auto’ or not, this gent needs no finishing school for he’s certainly no beginner to the art of keeping a customer happy – or, delighted – with this choice of newspaper(s).
Food for thought as you whizz by in Bangalore’s traffic or so they say!
;)
Wow. That’s pretty cool.
But I have heard that the EasyAuto initiative only has 70 auto drivers signed up. I guess that’s about all the honest drivers there are..
I am sure this is a novel way for them to cheat customers by taking their eyes off the damn rigged meters!!!
Sometimes, I wonder if the Auto fellows pool in and pay up BMTC to keep their services slow, inefficient and crowded. After all, they are the most immediate beneficiaries of BMTC’s callousness, aren’t they!?
NO NO the truth is,300 auto drivers registered but only 30 qualified. it came in Bangalore Mirror

Yes. Now we’ve taken to trusting the Bangalore Mirror. A tabloid put out by the ToI.
@BLR BYTES
I dint get u…
It’s a trifle difficult to trust the Times of India for reliable information, no? And given that, it’s even more difficult to trust their ‘tabloid’ Bangalore Mirror to give reliable information…
