Doggy style

Ordinarily ( i.e if I wasn’t a blogger, that is) I would have given the gent on the bike a piece of my mind. However, the blogger in me wasn’t going to let go of this opportunity so out came the digicam and here’s the pic.

Though its common to see dogs accompany their owners within the comfort of cars, this was totally unique. Balancing uncomfortably on his behind, on traffic prone roads, this mutt seemed to have hardly any say or bark on this matter. Besides the point that this is no way to treat a defenceless pet, any combination of circumstances could make it cause a loss of balance to the rider with consequent risk to other users of the road. Not to mention the pet being run over. Neither is it a stylish thing to do, what with the cramped space between the seat and the handlebars. I’d love to read what our dog-lover friends will have to say here.

Strangely however, the canine seemed all at home travelling this way for, till I began cajoling him to pose for a snap, he looked pretty comfy. Obviously, his owner takes him along on his bike every now and then. That should give you a clue as to how effective our traffic police are, allowing riders to go scot free with these antics. Hmmmmm!

All this makes me come to the conclusion that, in Bangalore, nothing makes sense anymore. Particularly, riding styles.

Doggone it!

;)

    Hmm……
Doggone it. He has his mom watching over him.
His brother takes him for a ride.
    Has a collar around him…
I think except for the uncomfortable ride
he seems to be a happy dog. Not that I
condone it, but maybe he has to get to his
sister’s house?? and wasting money on
    autos is not possible???

While driving he will give support on both ends for the dog so that it will not likely fall. if that is sitting so calmly .. dog knows how to ride in crowded trafic.

    hahahhaha. loved this!
I agree that riding with a dog like this is unsafe fr the driver.Only a trained and obedient dog would be able to go like this so there is normally no danger for the other users of the road from the dog but this can certainly distract riders which is a major hazard.
We had a friend who was an army major who had trained his german shepherd to ride with him on his scooter!
