Some interesting Tiles I found in Lalbagh

When I visited Lalbagh last, we were walking over a path that was partially tiled, and their patterns and the words of them caught my attention. They seem to be somewhat old terracotta tiles, and here’s a sample:

Could someone shed light on this Henke’s Tiles, made in Feroke? Is that a place in India, or are we looking at vintage tiles brought from afar?

Truly, in Lalbagh, the very ground one treads on leads us into history!

Feroke is a place in India. It’s a place in Calicut(Kozhikode), Kerala. It’s around 10-12 km from Calicut city. My grandparents are from there. My dad tells me that Feroke had, still has, lots of tile factories. Maybe Lalbagh tiles came from one of the factories there.
