Learning to Live, Living to Learn…
Sometimes when I capture few pictures while on the move, these frames then start telling me stories. Stories about realities of life, opportunities and struggle…
A unique window of my third eye, the digi-cam, with which I could see the world at my leisure and try understand looking at the situations with my mind opening up few subtle paradigms.
Let me share what I got just two days back, here is a picture of two children. Both doing their duties and fulfilling expectation life has for/from them to offer. A child who is carrying loads of education signifies the opportunities available to him at his pace, while the other rushing towards the daily dose of work schedule…
Perhaps I may be reading this aloud. The children crisscrossing each others path talk about the diversity in their lives and living. The opportunities one has may not be available or visible to other. One laden with the realities of today via self sustaining his efforts to make the living and there are promises for other via dedicating his time for learning and capability building. Not sure who will win the battle called life as the measure and goals of success are already chained to them like the steel bars chained together by a steel itself.
Life offers avenues and opportunities simultaneously enforces constraints of struggle and choice of direction on the other hand….let me know what you read, see and interpret of this situation via the Metblog window?
Very good snap Rajesh. The opposites in the picture is very obvious & does make one sit up & think about it.
I look at the picture in the following ways:
Its real – Bangalore is in the news for so many reasons these days but for some reason I feel the Bangalore that is projected is not the real bangalore. This picture captures one aspect of the real bangalore.
Nice pic and good post Lokesh!
on the left side of the pic, on the white strip behind the steel written in kannada lipi is the hindi phrase ‘desh ki shaan’. mebe you should call this the ‘desh ki shaan’ pic for now on.
hopefully he’ll attend the day’s classes after he’s done doing his job.
Thanks Lokesh, Deepa. Good observation TS…
Rajesh.. The pic’s really worth a thought! It shows up the opportunities or the lack of it that kids experience. One of the organizations that i am part of.. we try n fund kids to continue their education.. its called Two Cents of Hope (www.twocentsofhope.com). It is an interesting concept, take a peek in when free.
Vinod, thanks for the comments. Two Cents of Hope is a wonderful initiative. Let me know how I can be of any help!
