From the private collection of Mr.V.Raghunathan, President of ING Vysya Bank, this is the second exhibit of an ‘Unusual Lock’ series
“A lock of exquisite workmanship of a reclining women from Rajasthan/Gujarat region used in Jain temples. In it’s original state, the keyholes of the lock ought to have had a shutter” says the label.

Hmmm… This looks very interesting. There are a series of Buffalos(in Buffalo, NY). The city picked one animal and a number of artists try to paint one each. The painted ‘creatures’ are all over the city. Washington has something. Toronto may have started this. It is amazing to see how the same sculpture looks with different kinds of artists :-)
The locks in Bangalore seem to be along those lines except that we are looking at the various locks collected by ING. The 2 you have put up so far are just wonderful pieces of art. I am trying to figure out how they move it in their own homes :-))
