Bangalore Beat@ MID DAY today….
Privilege for the Bangalore Metblogs, especially to Ravi Kumar on todays MID DAY covering his post “Bangalore Beat” and photos of the recent riots ….
image quality avarage as taken from the mobile
The efforts put forward by Ravi has been elevated and covered with his due credit coming from him.
Great going Ravi…you have made Bangalore Metblogs proud!
Ironically on the same page they also do have carried two news items one having a coincidental ditto word wrap from SHADOW’s Marathalli update and another on the ‘Exhibition of folk art at CKP” having a ditto photo from the Dastakari Haat Samiti postbut without due credits…good going MIDDAY,keep watching the metblogs!!
Thanks, Rajesh. Firstly, I was not witness to the ‘riots’, as they put it. I have not made any such claim in my writing. Secondly, don’t you think MID-DAY should have asked author(s) for permission before any material is used for a publication? In our case, 3 articles have been filched and reproduced as if written by them. Such low standards are unbecoming of MID-DAY. No wonder perceptions about ‘tabloids’ are the same as ‘trash’??!!
I think this guys(Mid-Day) atleast should put the source below the new.
Indeed ‘they’ seem to have lost out on the content and painted the picture with whatsoeve they can get!!
just like I was shocked to see a leading news channel reporting Indira nagar along with shivaji nagar, where actually nothing happened in indira nagar and I had to answer calls from my relatives and friends to tell them that ‘indira nagar’ is safe and this is an exaggeration for TRP management from that channel!
typo erro correction “below the newS”
The interesting thing is that some one from mid-day left me a comment with callback number asking about my “dial 100” post a few weeks ago. I was impressed that they actually tried to reach the ‘author’ before (I assume) trying to reproduce content. But now we know what they prefer to do.
