After a recent incident of “Man-eater Stray Dogs….” lot of news on street dogs everyday in
Bangalore, it’s high time for public to react on this. The Breaking New is AGAIN STREET DOGS STRIKED ON MAN YESTERDAY, This time the victim is 7 years old girl “Gowramma”, the relief is she was left with just a wounds, Thanks DOGS for not killing her unlike the last week incident.

Let’s see the DOG facts of Bangalore here.

Total Number of Dogs in Bangalore = 1,11,600

Total Number of Street Dogs = 56,600

Amount spent for Dogs = 1.5 Crore

Number of NGO’s involved in taking care of Dogs in Bangalore = 4

What Rule says?

KM Rule: As per Karnataka Municipal Rule Dangerous Street Can be killed.

KP Rule: As per Karnataka Police Rule Dangerous Street Can be killed.

CA Rule: As per Central Act Prevention to Cruelty act no animals cannot be killed, However this rule is not approved by our legislative house.

What BMP says: As per CA rule we cannot kill any dogs so we do a birth control operation to dogs and leave them on road so that by this way we control the birth rate of the dogs.

However till date i have not seen any this kind of operations done to dogs in Bangalore.

Is these NGO’s really taking care of Dogs? If yes, what is there agenda? How they are working for Dogs? Do they have any white papers???

Till date i don’t see any above from any NGO’s.

Why only this 4 NGO’s are given the contract to take care Dogs from BMP??? Why not chance to others??? If it is very transparent let them Tender the contract so that any one can participate in Tender.

So where our money (1.5 Cr) goes???? As per BMP it is used for Birth Control…. What a joke.

At last i would like to you your opinion on Dangerous Street dogs.

Street dogs should killed or go for birth control????

“However till date i have not seen any this kind of operations done to dogs in Bangalore.”..

all street dogs that undergo the ABC progamme carry a visual mark on them. Most of them have a cut on their ear. Some of them carry a half drooping ear.

Also visit CUPA in hebbal sometime, there is detailed chart on how many dogs were neutered every week and from where these dogs were picked up.

Next time u see a stray feed him a biscuit,
You have made a friend for life.

This has been by far the most terrifying thing in recent times in the city. I got the chills when I read about the other girl who was mauled. I have no words to describe my feelings. Being a mom makes it tougher to imagine the plight of kids on streets.

why not hold them up for adoption by dog lovers in the city?
hey but wait, these ain’t no mudhol hounds for them to be picked up.

does BMP have a pound or a kennel?
