Credit Cards and Cyber Police Research…..

This CNBC show ‘Uncovered’ aired about credit card scams was shocking, surprisingly there are only two convictions despite several hundred cases of frauds or hacking for customers or even big airlines in last two years may be due to limited investigation capabilities of police…

Glad to see the news that India’s silicon capital will soon have a second cyber lab!! Good Start isn’t it!

Was aware of this menace and returned all my credit cards 2 years back.

A new problem has cropped up with ICICI bank debit cards. Please be aware that this ATM card requires a PIN ONLY when used with a ATM otherwise, its swipe and smile that it. All a fraduster would do when you loose your wallet is just swiping !!!!

When asked ICICI just does not have an answer. I know that ICICI has signed up with VISA and due to which pin can not be enabled on these cards but the bank does not accept this.

If you own ICICI bank debit cards, dont carry them with you unless you have planned the purchase. If you loose it to a pickpocket its good bye
