Visitors to Kodai and Ooty will swear by some delectable home made chocolates that are sold over there at classic ‘mom & pop’ type stores.
Well, you needn’t fret. Bangalore has its own ‘Ooty Chocolates’ store as well. Mr. Tilak Kumar and his family run the place. Chocolates are handmade using genuine, quality ingredients such as mint, nuts, almonds, raisins, butterscotch and their lipsmacking combinations.

One more Deepavali is in front of us; firstly let me wish you all “A Very Happy & Prosperous Deepavali to you and your Family”
Everyone knows Deepavali is a festival of colours and most of them enjoy by burning crackers, This in other side causes a Environment, Sound pollution etc… However I don’t have right to ask people stop doing this but everyone should take care minimum precautions about environment like not dumping the empty cartoons, half burned crackers on road etc.
It is everyone’s responsibility to protect our environment & keep our city clean!

In my many journeys on BMTC buses, I get to witness a few interesting incidents. Here is one of them.
First, a bit of information before the story. Some of the bus stops on any route are designated as ’stages’. The bus conductor is required to complete issuing tickets before the bus reaches a stage. On busy hours, conductors often stop the bus a little before the ’stage’ stop so that they can complete issuing tickets.
When inspectors come to check for tickets, they always come in at a stage point because at that time everyone is supposed to possess a ticket. On this particular day, a lot of people including me got in at the bus stop before the stage point. The conductor started issuing tickets from the front, and by the time he reached the backseats, stage point had already arrived. He was a bit lax, and had taken it easy since there were only few more people in the back who had to be issued tickets, and he could do that quickly. But before he could issue tickets to them, inspectors walked in and snatched the tickets and the entries from him. That left a few people in the back without tickets.

Pay & Park is likely to come back in Bangalore within few months, Bangalore Mahanagara Palike has announced that in the first phase it will introduce in 13 places including M.G.Road, CMH road, Commercial street etc…
The reason to reintroduce this system is to reduce the traffic issues in busy roads, avoid vehicle theft etc…
The proposed rates are Rs.3/Per Hour for two wheelers & Rs.4/Per Hour for four wheelers.
Personally I don’t like these Pay & Park systems, how much we should pay government indirectly??? We have already paid road tax when we purchased the vehicle & again now parking fee! Where the hell road tax is utilized???
Do let me know your opinions on Pay & Park in PUBLIC roads.

Last few days it was BUS and Traffic issues was an hot discussion among lot of Bangaloreans,So for a change lets divert and talk something about Trains/Railway station.
Few days back I had visited the Bangalore City Railway station & witnessed lot of improvements in the station and also on-going constructions works in various platforms, in the entrance they have made a good lobby, Improvements in platform 1 etc…. However few more platforms under-construction which will improve the things there too.
The best thing I found at first look at the entrance was a “Platform Ticket Vending Machine” where you put three 1 Rs coins to get one platform ticket, there is a machines which do accept the currency too, This has made the visitors in the station avoiding the long queue to get the platform ticket manually. This facility was introduced some where a year back.

There was an accident in Airport road today, where in a bus rammed into HAL Employees killing 2 and injuring 19. My friend, who works for IBM says the situation in Airport Road is volatile, as an angry mob has gathered there.
Please try to avoid that area as much as possible. In case you are aware of more information regarding the same, kindly post the same in comments section.
Hope things settle down, soon.
