An evening by the lake
A couple enjoying a private moment by the lake
So, we didn’t want to let go of the weekend without a few selfish shots of the city. Anita, friend and photographer, and I, really didn’t know where to head for and finally decided to shoot some unsuspecting lives around the nearby Ulsoor Lake. But it wasn’t as busy as we had expected. The only people lurking around at seven thirty were the couples in love; and only a few. The full moon was the day before and the one in front of us played hide and seek with the clouds.
A full moon had passed by
The Ganapathy temple overlooking the lake
Passing lights
A boat rests on the banks
Another view of the temple
Wow… Good photography.. I never felt Ulsoor lake and surroundings will look so beautiful in photos..
Hi Vivek, awesome pictures. I visited Bangalore recently and passed by the Ulsoor lake and saw it from the car. Your pictures paint a totally different picture and make me want to go back to have a look at it.
Nice photos dude :)
Night time photos of Bangalore always look nice.
You can’t see all the trash thrown all around the lake.
2nd photo is a really nice one.
The second photo is awesome!
Ditto under RDM…
Excellent photos. Btw which camera did you use?
thanks eveyone.
Krishna: Yes, I managed to avoid the plastic carry bags floating around.
Meena: I used a Canon 30D.
This is sheer magic! I have been in these spots so many times but never saw so much of beauty.
So, someday when I decide to buy a dSLR, I will ask Dr. Vivek.
BTW, I think you should consider contributing some pics to the Kartaka Tourism Journals/Mags. Your pics could seriously bring in additional 10-20% tourist traffic!!
Just simply awesome, especially the shots with the moon………….on par with the best photogs.
if you ignore the garbage in the tank and the awful smell and people dumping stuff into the lake in the name of religion, such a beautiful place! it was a most enjoyable evening with the moon playing hide and seek. and as usual, vivek, lovely pictures!!
Hi Vivek… excellent pictures!! Would you mind sharing your secrets of night photography? and u’re camera details, ofcourse.
