I would rather…
Yet another ususal weekend passes by… Catching a new movie and eating out are two of the most obvious things one would on a weekend. I tried thinking of other things that I have really enjoyed doing on weekends:
I have…
– gone carting
– watched a funny play at rangashankara
– watched the sunset from the hill near my old house in girinagar
– wasted time chatting at the sweet chariot cafe in jayanagar
Also, wouldn’t it be awesome if Bangalore had:
– a beach to hang out at
– a small theatre that you can rent out to see nice old movies
– get to play tennis/badminton/sqaush without paying lakhs to join a club
What interesting things have you been doing in the weekends ?
hi Karthik,
you can hire a digital studio for say 25 people in jayanagar 4th block . I think it is called krish digital …bang oppsite Vijaya junior college. I happen to be there last week and just found this place can seat 25 people.
wow ! thanks for that… will check it out… do you know what the charges are ?
Karthik, a beach would be nice! And wish the Western Ghats were a bit closer.
With getting around and finding open spaces getting to be so difficult, you could try a move to Mysore or Mangalore :) Mysore has more places to drive around to (hills are closer). And Mangalore has that as well as some beaches.
Have you guys heard of these fellows: Bangalore weekend shoots. If you have a camera, join…

Haha yeah the western ghats should be good fun !
Oh yeah, I compeltely forgot about Bangalore Weekend Shots, I have gone out with them a couple of times and its been good fun. Thanks for the suggestion sloganmurugan.
I’ve heard of a DVD theatre in Koramangala too…
Loads of outdoor activities happening in and around b’lore.. parasailing, paramotoring, micro light flying, bungee jumping , even sky diving etc(many are seasonal though).
More if you are willing to go the distance, such as cave exploration(kolar), rafting and other water games..
of course there is hiking and travelling.
