Sharks in Bangalore?

Time to get scared, very scared? You bet it is. The BMP has been trying its best to reduce the eyesores that go by the name of ‘hoardings’. Mostly, routes along commercial areas/locations are prime targets for hoarding contractors. But when citizens allow these companies to install hoardings from within their residential compounds, then its time to be afraid, very afraid with what greed can turn people into.

Anyway, I’m digressing. Shark Attack, seem to be the name of an event management company bringing the Aussie band ‘INXS’ to Bangalore. Oct 7th it is. I presume that this hoarding has something to do with them.

INXS might not be the same without Micheal Hutchence but the group is trying to prove a theory that even aging rock stars/acts do draw audiences all over the world. Particularly, in India.

The good thing is that with this act, Bangalore is further establishing itself to be the ‘Rock Capital’ of the country.

Earlier, the city has played host to acts such as Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Jethro Tull, Deep Purple & Bryan Adams. Roger Waters, Mick Jagger, Ian Anderson have seen our city…mostly from within their car windows! And, hey, lets not forget the one and only Sting. What I would give to see Beyonce one of these days!
