Vikasa Soudha

Vikasa Soudha, Sister of Vidhana Soudha is one of the best buildings which Karnataka government has built. This building is situated just next to Vidhana Soudha.
This is a dream project of former Chief Minister S.M. Krishna, He brought up this in the March 2000 Budget of Karnataka & later technically approved in 2001, S.M.Krishna laid a foundation stone for this building on Aug 30, 2001.

Vikasa Soudha has built on 7.5 acre of land with 58,274 SqMeter with 4 upper floor & 3 floors in under ground overall 8 floors with 15 conference halls & 360 rooms. This also has a Solar Power supply, Rain water harvesting, Modren interiors, Secret printing press, Parking facility & also a modern security system.
The main reason to build this Soudha is to bring all the important government offices under a single umbrella & to cater space demand at Vidhana Soudha.

Total cost of this building is more than 150 crores.

    Is this the building that we see on the left as we go down from Corporation Circle towards Chickpet?

    NO,This is just next to Vidhana Soudha.

    I think you are telling about LIC building @ Corporation circle.

    There was a news article on CNN-IBN yesterday that ministers are reluctant to occupy this building as this is not vaastu compliant.

    Oops!!! Vasthu can swallow 150 crores ! Whoz money is this ? Afterall this is not a permanent place for ministers so they should ignore vasthu in public places.

    at least temporary accomodation need to be spared from being vaastu compliant
