Good things come in two’s or what?

First, we hear…sorry, know that the Bangalore Metro will go on steam…er, sorry again, stream!

We are now informed that a Mono Rail network for Bangalore will also be a reality as well? The TOI today reports that:

Rail India Technical & Economic Services on Tuesday made a presentation to the government on Mono Rail for the city

Apparently, 5 corridors based on population, employment & land area across 159 traffic zones have been identified; the government will examine the proposed routes before considering further action.

I say ‘Wow’. This is just two good.

Certainly, I hope the folks overseeing this project will not coin something like ‘namma mono’ all over again. For one, I would dread to hear it from our neighbours in god’s own country. In all probability, it will sound like ‘namma monu’ meaning ‘our son’!!

Now that’s sure to get our home-grown ‘mannina magas’, including me, seeing red!
